The Smith Family

This adorable family are friends of my friends, and came out to my house for a Holiday Portrait session. Their little girl was so adorable! It took a little while for her to warm up to being photographed, but towards the end of the session with the aid of the boys and Shane and the stuffed horsie that was getting me, she settled right in! I am really excited with how the session turned out and! Thank you so much Nicole, Mike and Madison!

Alex, MHS Senior

This is Alex, Katy's best friend. Alex brought Katy along for her shoot, so I decided to snap a few more pictures of Katy while she was there. This was the most fun photography session EVER! Alex is really goofy and funny. We all laughed and joked around the entire time. After we finished our shoot at the park, we headed back to Monroe for some train tracks. I gave the same speech I give all my seniors on train tracks. You watch my back for trains, and Ill watch yours! Everytime I heard the slightest truck sound, I stopped what I was doing to check. So, we took our pics on the rail road tracks and stood on the trestle over Woods Creek and watched the spawning fish heading up the stream. A few minutes later, I looked down the tracks and sure enough, "TRAIN!!!" I hollered and took off running off the trestle and down on the side. When we made it to safety, I looked back and the train was going really slow, and eventually stopped on the trestle. I continued taking pictures, and they waved for us to come to them. They said they had to stop because there was another train coming, and then they offered for the girls to get their senior pictures on the front of the train! A few minutes after we were finished, they blew the horn and started going again. They waved at us and flashed the peace out sign as the train started accelerating. We were so close to the train, it was such an incredible rush! It didnt take more than a few minutes for it to reach full speed and the vibration and the wind and the adrenaline was flowing! I kept snapping pics and we were all squealing. It was great. Thank you Katy and Alex for an incredibly memorable experience!
